The Dutch Barge ‘Gentoo’. The first vessel into the newly acquired ‘Arctic Road Dry Dock’. Gentoo kicked the yard into operation with some major repair works that involved re-plating the bottom of the barge. We carried out this work by cutting away the existing plating and removing steel, replacing decayed hull framing from under the vessel, and then re-plating. We managed to carry out the repairs without stripping out the interior of the vessel, therefore saving  costs.

Continuing works involved an external refit of the exterior, repairs to the cabin, welding works on deck and a full exterior paint.
